Image
What is an Amulet? An amulet is a charm or trinket imbued with protective energy that a person carries with them. Depending on your background, culture, religion or lack of, there are numerous ways to create a personal protection amulet. I like to make mine in the way you'll read about in this post. How to make a personal protection amulet You'll need: Some felt a pattern for an animal or symbol of your choice. (max. about 4 inches tall) scissors chalk a little bit of stuffed animal stuffing needle & thread about 2 tablespoons (at most) of protective herbs, such as: Sage, clove, or rosemary black candle To begin, gather your materials and ground & center. Light your candle. Trace your pattern onto the felt using the chalk  Sew along your chalk lines, leaving an unsewn opening of about an inch & 1/2. Fill your animal with your herbs & stuffing. Sew closed. Hold your animal in both hands & envision it fighting off any unwanted entity or energy. Hold the imag...

Easy, 3 ingredient, effective, money spell

Image
So you need more money in your life? Who doesn't need more money, really? As long as you're willing to put in the work, whether it be longer hours, higher volume of orders for your online business, moving to a new job that may pay more, etc. If you aren't willing to put in any work, and you're just looking for a get-rich-quick spell this is not the one. If you're still here and still want the spell read on! Ingredients A green 7-day candle 3 coins, any coins Some dried mint, just a pinch. A marker to draw sigils on the candle Process First, you're gonna need to make some sigils. Make them as specific as possible, word them more than one way, and make sure you come up with a few you can use. If you need guidance on sigil making, check out this post for an easy method that's well explained.  Once you have your sigils and you've charged them, draw them on your candle. Next, take the 3 coins and stick them about halfway into the wax around the wick. Then,...

How to create your own uncrossing bath

Image
What is an uncrossing bath for? Sometimes people send curses or hexes our way which will result in us having a "crossed" or blocked condition. Other times we can "cross" ourselves unintentionally. This can happen when we focus too much on the bad, negative, stressful, etc. things in life, from everyday stress and anxiety, a traumatic event, accumulating too much negative energy, and anything else that can cause you to feel blocked in life or your spirituality.  When we are crossed our magic is nowhere near as powerful, bad luck or worse can seem to follow us, It can be almost impossible to focus on any one thing, It can result in physical symptoms such as headaches or other ill-health (Uncrossing is not a guarantee of improved health if you need to, ABSOLUTELY seek medical care as well as doing an uncrossing working), Inability to move on with life, or grow in our spirituality. Taking an uncrossing bath, (recommended to be done 3 consecutive days at least) can dras...

Poppet uses and a printable pattern!

Image
What is a poppet? Poppets have been used in many cultures for many reasons. The most common and easily recognizable ones are voodoo dolls. Voodoo dolls specifically are of course part of a closed practice and off-limits to outsiders. That doesn't mean ALL poppets are off limits though. They can be very useful in many different types of magic, which I'll go over later in this post. A poppet is basically just a doll made to represent a person a spell is targeted at. They can be used in baneful magic to place a curse or hex on someone, but they can also be used in protective magic, Healing magic, To send someone good luck or good vibes, and plenty of other things. They can be made out of whatever you have on hand, whether that's fabric, felt, straw, corn husks, wood, a rock, whatever. My favorite & the one I'll be talking about the most in this post will be felt or a fabric one.  A few examples of what a poppet can look like with various materials. What goes into a fe...

Making Spell Jars

Image
What is a spell jar? Spell jars can be made for a wide variety of spells, such as Protection, Sweet jars, Self-love, Abundance, Good luck, Anti-anxiety, Anti-depression, Fertility, Curses/Hexes, and just about anything else you can think of.  Basically, you're going to take all your ingredients and combine them into a jar, then you'll seal the jar shut using wax, string, glue, or anything else that will keep it shut tight. Then you'll dispose of the jar in a specific way or you'll keep it on your altar to shake up every now and then when it needs refreshing. I'll list the specific ways of disposing of a jar at the end of this post.  Keep in mind the lists of ingredients I'm giving with each type of jar is not complete, there's plenty more you could add to them, I could never list it all. The types of jars is also not complete, I couldn't list every time of jar you could make, even if I tried. For most spell jars... You'll want to start by gathering y...

Pendulum Usage

Image
What is a pendulum used for? There are many ways to use a pendulum but the easiest and most common way is to answer yes or no questions. It's a fairly simple thing to do but there are a few steps you need to take. Step 1 Clear your mind. It may help to meditate for a few minutes with candles or incense. Whatever works for you, as long as the result is a clear head. Step 2 Get comfortable, preferably with both feet on the ground to ground you. and choose how you feel most comfortable holding your pendulum. Step 3 Learning your pendulums signals. You should ask your pendulum "show me yes." and make a note of what it does, generally, it will swing in a circular motion or swing side to side. Then ask "show me no." and again, make a note of what it does. This step only needs to be done the first time you use your pendulum.  Step 4 Next, you'll want to clarify who you're seeking answers from, Your spirit guides, a deity you work with, your higher self, etc. ...

All about one word spells

Image
What is a "One-word spell"?  A one-word spell is exactly that: A spell in one word. Short, sweet, and to the point. One-word spells can be made for just about anything. It just takes a little creativity. How do I create a one-word spell? One word spells are created by taking 2 or more words and combining them into one. This can be done in any language you choose to work with or even a combination of different languages mashed together. As long as it feels right and you can pronounce it, that's all that matters. Benefits of using one-word spells Of course, you wouldn't use one-word spells for all your magic because some spells require the extra energy generated doing a full incantation or ritual. But they are great for a little something on the go. One-word spells can be used any time any place. They're easy to remember. One-word spells help slip a little magic into the mundane world. They're fun to create. They can be created for just about anything. They'...

Effective spell writing

Image
Writing your own spells can seem daunting to new witches, and even to witches who've been practicing for a while. But it doesn't have to be! Below I'll give a template of sorts, some rules, tips and tricks, what to do with spell remnants, and some methods of execution. There's plenty of reasons to write your own spells; maybe you can't find one that fits your intention just right, or the spell calls for tools or herbs you don't have on hand, but you have different tools and herbs to use. Or maybe you just want to make your craft your own, Whatever the case may be, this post should help you get started.  First things first... a few "rules" Always cleanse your tools, space, self, and whatever needs it before a working. Spells do not need to rhyme in order to be effective. Spells do not need a ton of ingredients in order to be effective.  Spells only need a clear, present tense, positive intent. (I don't mean like the spell has to be a positive one...
