Personal Protection Methods






1. Imbue & Charge a piece of jewelry 
You’ll need:
A piece of jewelry 
A black candle
Salt
Protection powder (if you have it)
  • Ground & center in whatever way you like.
  • Hold the jewelry with both hands and envision a shield of protection beginning at the jewelry and growing until it encompasses you entirely.
  • Place the jewelry in front of the candle.
  • If you have it mix protection powder with the salt.
  • Make a ring with the salt (or salt mixture) around the candle & the jewelry.
  • Light the candle & meditate on the feeling of being totally safe in your bubble.
  • Put the candle out & put the jewelry on.

2. Candle Protection Spell
You’ll need:
A black candle
Black pepper
Sea salt
A pin or thumbtack
Matches/a lighter
Olive oil
  • Ground & center in whatever way you want.
  • Mix equal parts of sea salt & black pepper.
  • Carve your name into the candle.
  • Lightly coat the candle in olive oil.
  • Roll the candle, away from yourself, in the salt & pepper mixture.
  • Light the candle.
  • Meditate on protection & what exactly that looks like for you.
  • Allow the candle to burn at least until your name is no longer visible. 

3. Quick & Quiet Protection Spell
This spell is for use when you don’t have time for a full ritual but feel like you might need some protection in the very near future. You don’t need any supplies.
  • Ground & center
  • Draw a 5 pointed star over the center of your chest with your dominant hand.
  • In your head, or quietly say “from north to east, to south to west, and back to north, protection surrounds me from this moment forth.”
4. Personal Protection Guardian
You'll Need:
A small trinket, crystal, figurine, etc..
  • Ground & center
  • Hold the trinket in both hand & visualize it being a sentient entity who's sole purpose is to protect you. 
  • Say "Watch over & protect me, morning, noon & night. Never let me leave your sight. Guard against all negativity, as I will it, so mote it be."
  • Keep in in your pocket, or otherwise on your person.
